"View of Rome" Girard & Bornand a Ste Croix, No. 2134, circa 1840, made for the Italian market. Very fine 18K gold slim watch with ruby duplex escapement in original tortoiseshell covered box. Four-body, back engraved with a scene depicting a city park, florallychased bezels and band, gold hinged cuvette entirely engraved withscrolling. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions.Gold Breguet hands.
