Julius Assmann, Dresden, No. 4005, made for South Ame- rican market circa 1870. Very fine and rare 18K gold and ena mel, half- hunting cased, keyless pocket watch. Five-body, "bassine et filets", fully engravedwith floral pattern, front with aperture encircledby translucent imperial blue enamel ring withwhite radial Roman numerals, gold hingedcuvette. Silver, engraved, radial Roman numerals,outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds,center and outermost decorated with appliedvaricolored gold floral motifs.
