Two-body, Louis XV, back with applied varicolored gold bustof Voltaire (1694-1778) within laurel-leaf frame, bezels decorated with applied and engraved repeated motifs. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions with five-minute Arabic markers, inner 31-day Arabic ring, winding aperture at 2 o’clock. Gold “Louis XV” hands. 34 mm, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, micrometric potence adjustment, repeating on gold blocks fixed to the case by depressing the pendant.Signed on dial and case.Diam. 42 mm Notes This watch is unusual because of the elegant dial design, with its light radial Arabic numerals.
