Double body, Empire with fixed bezel and reeded band, the engine-turned back centred with the engraved initial "D". Hinged gilt brass cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass, Lepine calibre with free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Repeating on the case with two massive polished steel hammers, by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial. Diam. 50 mm. Notes Note: This watch is very much in the style. of those produced at the same period by Raguet in the workshop of Lepine. Before is was appointed by Napoleon has Horloger de I 'Emperear at Roz, circa 1808, the signature of Mugnier usually was MugnierJeune. Until the discovery of this watch, surprisingly signed: Etienne Mngniai; is Christian name was unknown.
