Ester a Paris, circa 1700. Fine silver Louis XIV "oignon" with mock pendulum Double body "oignon", the back centred with roundels. White enamel "a bosses" with raised Roman numerals. Blued steel hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, short flat balance spring, rack and pinion regulator, fine silver Louis XIV cock, pierced with a pendulum aperture and engraved with the French Royal arms below a figure of Sun and flanked on either sides by cherubs. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 59 mm.
