Mellerio - Borgnis, 6 rue d'Argenteuil, Paris, circa 1880. Very fine and unusual rock crystal, silver gilt and enamel watch in the Renaissance style, in original fitted box. Double body oval with rock crystal cover and back, silver gilt bezel, mounting and pendant with champleve enamelled decoration in the Renaissance style, the back overlaid inside with a fine open work monogram and further foliage champleve enamelled decoration. Champleve silver gilt with Roman numerals, decorated en suite. Gold pierced "Louis XVI" hands.
