Re(uben) Lamude in Chard, circa 1745. Fine small 22K gold pair cased watch. Outer gilt brass shark-skin covered, inner double body bassine, polished. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with square baluster pillars, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock engraved with a mask and foliage. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 41 mm.
