Almost certainly produced in Geneva, circa 1830. Very fine and highly unusual 18K gold turquoise set musical toothpick box. Double body rectangular engine-turned, the domed lid chased in high relief with flowers and foliage over a matted ground and enhanced with turquoise set decoration centred by a diamond accent. Narrow gilt brass rectangular, the pin disc musical train with female winding square and 17 teeth set on each side of the disc. Dim. 62 x 22 x 17 mm. Accompanied by an azure leather fitted box and by a male matching key.
