Wedgwood (British, founded 1759-), 19th century majolica pitcher with figural medallions of celebratory nude putti on waves surrounded by facial masks, and yellow architectural elements against green to brown glazed ground. Shaped and hinged pewter lid at top above decorated body of vessel. Marked on bottom with impressed stamp "WEDGWOOD" and "WAV" for date of creation and maker--August 1867. Approximate height 9.25", width (spout to handle) 6.5", diameter of circular foot 3.8".
