Voightlander Brass Lens No. 22914, Germany, c. 1870, lacquered brass lens cut for waterhouse stops marked with number as above and Voightlander & Sohn, Wien, Braunschweig , front and rear elements dia. 4, total lg. without hood 6 in., all in a wooden carrying case. There is a small "7" engraved near the rear of the lens. There are no waterhouse stops with the lens. Glass is dusty. Wooden case may not original to the lens.
