Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock Marked Simon Willard & Son, Boston, c. 1825, no. 1709, the painted iron dial with Roman numerals marked Simon Willard & Son, No. 1709 , stenciled oak leaf frames enclosing reverse-painted tablets, the waist marked Patent , the lower with eagle within the pendulum aperture, eight-day time-only movement with pendulum and lead weight, ht. 30 in. Glasses are the original with some inpainting, dial relined, possibly repainted, period side arms are not the first, lacking finial.
