Tiffany Quarter-chiming Brass Skeleton Clock, New York, c. 1885, the pierced brass dial with silvered Arabic numerals engraved at the numeral six location Tiffany & Co. Makers , and at the twelve, the chime selection Eight Bell and Westminster , elaborately pierced plates with scroll and swirl decoration, eight-day time, strike, and quarter-hour chime on eight bells and four gongs, dual rack and snail, chime pin barrel, deadbeat escapement with two-jar mercury temperature compensating pendulum, rosewood base with brass paw feet and original eight-section glass shade, ht. 26, wd. 19, dp. 14 1/2 in. No significant repairs or replacements.Original long "T" shaped key to allow winding through winding holes in glass shade, clock runs and chimes well.
