Samuel V. Chamberlain (American, 1895-1975) The Customs Tower - Boston, edition of about 7 (Chamberlain & Kingsland, 85). Signed "Samuel Chamberlain" in pencil l.r. Drypoint on laid papier verdâtre with a partial watermark, plate size 5 1/2 x 7 7/8 in. (14.0 x 20.0 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins approximately 1 inch with a deckled lower edge, scattered foxing, annotation to lower margin. Provenance: Through the family of the artist. N.B. Ninety-three of the 100 impressions pulled of this image were destroyed in 1930.
