George Jarvis (British, fl. 1874-1890) Sir George Harvey Reading "The Morning Post" Signed and dated "Geo. Jarvis 1883" l.l., identified on a presentation plaque, inscribed "Geo. JARVIS -1883-No. 64" on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 13 1/2 x 9 1/2 in. (34.3 x 24.1 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, craquelure, minor retouch, tack holes to corners. The lining is adhered with glue or similar. The retouch is minor dots and dashes. There is some fine scattered craquelure.
