Seneque Obin (Haitian, 1893-1977) Noël Signed and inscribed "Seneque Obin/ cap Haitien. " l.r., titled l.c. Oil on Masonite, 24 x 20 in. (61.0 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Minor surface abrasions and grime. Varnish inconsistencies. Surface grime, with a few scattered drips of foreign matter. Areas of alligatoring in the deep blue pigment and also in some areas of the green pigment c.l. Scattered fine scratches, one to u.r. quadrant below the rainbow measuring 1/2 inch, another to l.c. measuring 3 inches. Masonite support is glued into the frame.
