Etruscan Revival 18kt Gold and Micromosaic Reversible Bulla, one side depicting Cupid riding a swan, with bird, floral, and foliate motifs, the other with fine applied ropetwist, wire, and bead accents, suspending conforming drops, and opening to reveal a compartment, lg. 2 7/8 in., (losses and alterations). Interior with later finding for chain suspension. Drops with evidence of solder and reinforcement patches, not obtrusive. Losses to tesserae under tail and at base of border, not obtrusive. Central drop with evidence of some findings to bead. Overall wear with age.
