Ebonized, Gilded, and Polychrome Blackamoor Stand, Continental, likely Venice, late 19th/early 20th century, carved as a male child in a contrapposto pose, standing on a rocky formation and bearing a serpentine vessel serving as a tray, on octagonal base with grotesques and marbleized panels, ht. 65 1/2 in. Repainted and restored, several long vertical cracks, crack around left wrist, nicks, chips, and loss.
