French Provincial Commode, the serpentine top with thumbmolded edge over conforming case fitted with three long drawers with large brass pulls and key escutcheons, above shell-carved skirt, on squat cabriole legs ending in French Knurl feet, ht. 36 1/2, wd. 49, dp. 20 1/2 in. worm holes throughout, with worming loss at rear legs, back edges, drawers liners, and at lowest drawer and skirt. restorations comprising a filled shrinkage crack running horizontally at top, several filled peg holes to top, and to the worming at the lowest drawer. finish inconsistent between the drawers. top with a few black stains.
