Theodore Deck Ceramic Box, Paris, France, second half 19th century, celadon ground with polychrome enamel decorations of butterflies, birds, and flowers, the handle formed as two embracing putti, on shaped feet, lg. 9 7/8 in. Repaired break to one foot, sides and top with adhesive remnants, one putto foot chipped, lid with a broken, missing element.
