Cathrow September 1859..." in ink on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 20 x 20 in. (51.0 x 51.0 cm), framed in a round format. Condition: Paint losses, retouch, craquelure with areas of lifting. Inscribed "W. Cathrow, Esq." in ink on a label affixed to the back of the frame.
