Griffen, Smith & Hill Majolica Cheese Dish and Cover, United States, late 19th century, brown and green enamel decorated, the cylindrical cover with swan finial and relief of water lilies, reeds, and butterflies, impressed factory mark, dish dia. 8 1/4 in. Dish with three slight chips under the lip of the rim; the foot with a 1" chip in the making. Cover in very good condition throughout.
