Large Papier-mache Child Doll, Germany, c. 1850, papier-mache shoulder head with molded and painted features, with curly black hair and molded exposed ears, brown painted eyes, closed mouth, cloth body, painted cloth arms and limbs, wearing a blue printed cotton dress with lace collar, a straw hat with silk ribbons, black cloth and leather shoes, (minor imperfections), ht. 27 1/2 in. Small abrasion (dent on her forehead), costume stained, fine crack on one side of neck and back of neck, hat shows wear, shoes lacking laces.
