Brass and Steel Infantry Officer's Sword, first quarter 19th century, with cast brass hilt, with eagle head pommel, four ball stirrup knuckle guard, carved bone grip, curved steel and blued single edge blade with gilt etched designs including panoply, foliage and flowers, and the initials "C. L.H. (or K.) near the hilt, (grip with two cracks, blade rusty and chipped), blade lg. 33, overall lg. 38 7/8 in.
