Fermi, Enrico (1901-1954), Signed letter, March 26, 1948, one page, to Bernard Jaffe, on University of Chicago letterhead, directing the recipient to inquire with Dr. W.H. Zinn, Director of the Argenne National Laboratories, on obtaining a desired sketch, 4to, (excellent). Note: Enrico Fermi, Nobel Prize winner for Physics in 1938, successfully investigated quantum theory, atomic structure and the mathematical nature of matter. He was also part of the team at Columbia University that created the first nuclear fission experiment and was later part of the Manhattan Project.
