Continental School, Mid to Late 19th century. Miniature portrait on ivory depicting a young woman with white to gray curled hair wearing a floral decorated hat, green bodice and red striped sheer wrap with floral pin. Signed at right "Cella". Portrait contained withing oval frame with crossed torches, tied ribbon and leaved berry swag at top with easel back. Portrait on ivory measures approximately 3.4" x 2.6". Frame overall measures approximately 5.3" x 3.9".
