Pictorial Needlework, England or America, late 18th/early 19th century, executed in silk and metallic threads on a silk ground, depicting a shepherd and shepherdess in a landscape with sheep and rabbits, birds, and butterflies, and leafy and fruiting trees, under a large sunburst, (losses, fraying, toning), 18 1/4 x 17 in. , in original molded wood frame with gilt liner. The upper 2/3 of the silk background is frayed in numerous places.
