Pierre-Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879), Bronze Figure of a Stallion, 19th century,brown patination, mounted atop a gilded naturalistic rectangular-shaped base, inscribed artist signature, and set on a polished stone stand, overall ht. 5 1/4 in. The horse also appears to have been gilded, with patches of wear.
