Dutch Baroque Style Red Japanned Cabinet on Chest, 19th century, in two sections, the upper section with gilded cartouche and angular cresting above two shaped doors opening to a shelved interior; the lower section fitted with two short and two long drawers above a shaped apron on block feet; decorated overall with gilded chinoiserie scenes on a scarlet red ground, ht. 98 1/2, wd. 72, dp. 25 in. Modern refit to interior, plus some strengthening blocking, edge wear and touch up to extremities, age typical minor losses, no locks.
