China Lady with Molded Braids, Germany, c. 1850, attributed to Kestner, flesh-toned glazed porcelain shoulder head, painted and molded features with blue eyes, painted and molded black center-part hair swept in to a large coiled spiral of braids, cloth body with glazed porcelain limbs, orange painted boots, wearing original printed cotton dress with matching bonnet and white cotton underclothes, ht. 20.5 in., (excellent).
