Vichy Waltzing Couple Musical Automaton, France, c. 1875, each figure with pale pressed bisque socket heads, blue glass eyes, finely painted brows and lashes, pierced ears, closed mouths, original blonde mohair wigs and metal hands, the lady wearing an all original silk and lace gown, the gentleman wearing a matching suit with gilt metal trim; the musical mechanism concealed in the three wheeled metal base beneath the lady; when activated the figures move forward and spin in both directions, sold with original wood crate with brass bale handle, ht. 13 in., (excellent, minor wear and soiling).
