Painting depicts a pair of deer at center, a standing 8 point buck beside a reclining doe to his right, set within a dense forest scene with seven tall pine trees forming a semicircle around the pair of animals. Framed approximately 26.75" x 34.75", unframed approximately 19" x 27 1/8".
