Wedgwood-mounted and Brass-bound Onyx Box, England, 19th century, light blue jasper medallions with applied white classical relief, a large oval to the top center with the Sacrifice to Hymen, lg. 2 7/8 in.; nine smaller medallions mounted to strapwork, overall box size dp. 9 1/8, wd. 12 1/8, and ht. 6 1/2 in. The top of the box has been repaired, especially to the back half. Three of the smaller medallions have also been repaired.
