French Copper Enamel Carriage-style Timepiece, made for Tiffany & Co. , late 19th century, rectangular case with canted corners, top lifting handle, beaded base, white and gold enamel decoration on black ground, front panel with a fairy cherub playing with a dragonfly, sides with musical instruments in cartouches accented with scrolls, ht. to top of handle 7 1/2 in. restorations to horizontal white enamel band near base. very light gilt wear to some of the raised decoration, metal age darkening. very small chip to enamel just outside bezel of dial of dial opposite the III (approx. 1/4" long, and 1/16" wide). a few fleabite chips to base rim. top with restoration to black enamel including approx. 1/4" round spot under left side of handle. no key.
