German Lithophane Lampshade and Gilt-metal Lamp Base, late 19th century, the pressed metal shade formed with six KPM porcelain lithophane plaques, four depicting portraits of maidens, one Rebecca at the well, and the sixth a scene of figures by a fountain, with impressed KPM and sceptre marks, each plaque 5 7/8 x 4 5/8, with Rococo Revival gilt metal baluster base, cast with acanthus and scrolls, the nimbus hung with colorless glass lustres, electrified, shade ht. 10 1/4, base ht. 15 5/8, full ht. 24 1/2 in. lithophanes good. minor bending to metal of lampshade. metal of shade and base with rubbing to gilding. electrified.
