Wedgwood Armorial Decorated Pearlware Trio, England, early 19th century, blue trim lines to a gilt leaf banded border, polychrome enameled belt framed cartouche with crest and verse "Esse Quam Videri", impressed marks, saucer dia. 5 1/2 in. The verse is a Latin phrase meaning "To be, rather than to seem to be." Light usage wear to the glaze on each.
