Ethel M. Gilmore (American, 1894-1984) Bleak December Signed "E M Gilmore" l.r., identified on a period exhibition label from Allied Artists of America, Inc., on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 25 x 30 in., framed. Condition: Retouch, surface grime, mild scattered craquelure. Subtle canvas deformations, wax impregnated and re-stretched canvas (does not appear lined), several areas of retouch in all quadrants with largest over an area of 2 x 3 in. in the l.l. quadrant.
