Month-Duration Quarter-Chiming Longcase Clock by Thomas Hackney, London, mahogany case with inlaid pagoda top, fluted freestanding columns with Corinthian capitals flanking the glazed hood door, inlaid chamfered waist columns and plinth on a two-stage bracket foot, 12 1/4 in. composite brass dial with silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, name boss engraved Thomas Hackney London , recessed second's bit, engraved arch with moon's age dial and marked The Moon is [ ] Old, High Water at London Bridge is [ ] Minutes Past [ ] A Clock , herring bone engraving and cast brass spandrels, thirty-day quarter-chiming movement on eight bells with recoil escapement, rack and snail strike, pendulum and three brass-cased weights, ht. 97 1/2 in. Case refinished, two stage base molding and feet are replacements, moon's age dial repainted, one period weight the two others are from a Victorian chime clock.
