Clockwork Black Gentleman "Nodder" Automaton, dressed in original velvet waistcoat, red vest, yellow tie, striped trousers, and felt hat, the key-wound movement makes the gentleman's head nod back and forth while the weighted jaw opens and closes, mounted on a wooden stand, ht. 22 1/4 in. Nodder works effortlessly without his hat on, but will work with the hat if attention is given to proper balance. Finger missing on right hand, both thumbs appear to be repaired, a straw hat also with the lot. Shims placed under the front of his shoes for balance.
