Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tambour Desk, coastal Massachusetts, c. 1810, the top section with hinged door inlaid with a four-point star and stringing, with flanking tambour doors, the projecting base with fold-out writing surface, replaced brasses, (imperfections), ht. 43, wd. 36, dp. 18 in. some losses to cockbeading and inlay, old patch to prospect door, top has plugged screw holes, right rear side of top with loss to case, knobs on interior drawers don't match, ends of lower section with shrinkage cracks.
