Norman Millet Thomas (American, b. 1915) The Sculptor's Studio Unsigned, inscribed "Painted by Norman Thomas/ Certified by sisister [sic]-in-law Marie Thomas" on the stretcher. Oil on Masonite, 48 x 30 1/4 in. (121.9 x 76.8 cm), unframed. Condition: Surface grime/abrasions, tack holes to the margins. Tacks through Masonite (and consequently, through composition) to strainer bars, small loss in u.r. corner approx. 1/8 x 1/4 in., staining to Masonite along bottom on the reverse, scattered surface grime and abrasions.
