John Whorf (American, 1903-1959) Mediterranean Port Signed "John Whorf. " l.r., identified on an exhibition label (see below) affixed to the backing. Watercolor on paper, sight size 15 x 21 in. (38.1 x 53.3 cm), framed. Condition: Very subtle toning, not examined out of frame. Exhibitions: 9th International Exhibition of Watercolor Paintings, The Art Institute of Chicago, 1929, no. 303 The toning is very minor, and the colors are strong and bright. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no other visible condition issues to report.
