Western Pennsylvania cherry and poplar dutch cupboard, dated 1851 , the molded cove cornice above a frieze with stenciled stylized roosters centering on the date, 1851, over 2 arcaded glazed doors flanking a glazed center panel and trailing vine and star decorated half columns over a pie shelf resting on a similarly decorated base with 3 short drawers, 2 recessed panel cupboard doors supported by turned feet, retains its original red wash surface, 81 1/2" h. , 50" w. The stencil decoration is strongly reminiscent of the Soap Hollow School.
