French Empire Style Marble-top and Walnut Small Secretaire a Abattant, 19th century, bearing stamp "Jacob", with white veined charcoal grey marble top above a case fitted with four drawers and a fall-front lid enclosing a fitted interior, all flanked by herm figures, on paw feet, ht. 52, wd. 24, dp. 15 in. Marble top with chips along back edge; case with large spots to area above both frieze drawer pulls; side to side shrinkage to fall front with some minor warping; age typical additional minor defects.
