Italian Carved Carrara Marble Figure of an Avenging Angel and Associated Pedestal, late 19th/early 20th century, standing figure in Medieval dress and holding a broad sword; the alabaster pedestal with fluted decoration, ht. of figure 37, ht. of pedestal 24 in. Overall very good condition except for the front foot which has multiple cracks, breaks and repairs/fill-ins (most now yellowed); front left corner with fill-in chips and chips along back edge of base; surface not overly sugared but not highly polished either; minor soiling.
