Monumental Russian Feast Days Icon, 19th century, depicting the resurrection of Christ in the center, surrounded by scene of Holy Passion week to inner border, and further scenes of feast/holy days in outer border, ochre edge, the reverse with ink dedication/inscription dated 1896, 35 x 27 1/2 in. Chips along top edge; 4 inch burn and charring to center lower edge; wear to script writing along right edge. All edges with touch-ups. Scattered small pinpoint losses mostly to center scenes. Scattered minor inpainting throughout. Minor worm damage/insect holes to reverse.
