Helmut Schievelkamp (German, 1849-1890), Gilt Bronze Figure of an Amazon on Horseback, Amazone , the nude figure modeled riding bareback, holding a spear, the blue-tinted alabaster base formed as a naturalistic rocky slope, mounted to left edge with a titled plaque, ht. 11 5/8 in. spear possibly replaced. very minor rubbing to patina. base with wear to blue tinting, and a few unobtrusive chips.
