Biedermeier Ebonized, Parcel-gilt, Mirror, and Onyx-mounted Mantel Clock, mid 19th century, the two-train, half-striking movement topped by a giltwood eagle and flanked by giltwood addorsed dolphins, on temple-form case with four white onyx columns/pilasters in front of a mirrored gallery, rectangular base with slight serpentine front, ht. 22 1/2 in. dolphins with cracking, and one off, but present. eagle with a repaired wing. chipping to giltwood. loss to piece of gilt trim at mirror section. one onyx pilaster with hairline. lacking rear door behind movement. needs a cleaning. not guaranteed to be in working order.
