Rococo Gold and Amber Snuff Box, possibly Dutch, mid 18th century, ovoid, the flat lid reverse incised with a scene of a figure and indistinct title, possibly Christ's resurrection, the gold edging to lid and body molded and engraved with rocaille, wd. 2 7/8 in. lid with old restoration to five breaks, partially onscuring the incised scene and title. hairline to front of lid. edges with light wear/chipping throughout. interior with a small edge chip. lid latch bearing three unidentified hallmarks.
