Italian "Grand Tour" Micromosaic and Gilt-metal Trinket Box, late 19th century, rectangular with rounded corners, the lid set with a micromosaic of the Colosseum, the sides of box with champleve enamel decoration of a running vine, on ball feet, box ht. 1 3/4, wd. 2 3/4, micromosaic 2 7/8 x 1 7/8 in. overall minor age wear. light darkening of metal. micromosaic with two tiny pinpoint holes in the grout material (no missing tesserae).
