Moscow: Detgiz, 1947. 4to, original printed boards, cloth-backed, date ("Sep -- 1948") stamped to upper board and endpaper, "Printed in Soviet Union" stamped to title page. Marshak juxtaposes the privileged classes of the old regime with the hard lives of working people in this collection of poetry. Boards soiled; some brown staining from stapled interior.
